Going Above and Beyond is Everyday Business at MacGyver Services

FREEHOLD, N.J. – January 11, 2012 – Located in Freehold, N.J., MacGyver Services Inc. is one of the leading polyurethane foam and polyurea suppliers in the Northeast. With over 20 years of experience in the coatings industry, the company specializes in the distribution of foam insulation and coating supplies. 

Prior to founding MacGyver Services, owner William “Bill” Bourque was a spray foam contractor. After spending several years as an applicator, Bourque decided to open his own distribution company with the intention of running the company through the eyes of a contractor. 

“I know what it is like out there, and I know I have to think outside the box to solve problems, track down obscure parts and get guys spraying again, because that is the bottom line,” Bourque said. 

MacGyver Services offers a variety of products, including closed and open cell foam, spray foam and proportioning equipment, foam packaging equipment and mechanical purge guns.

One of the many services Bourque offers to his customers is the ability place orders for foam and equipment at any time of the day through the company’s website.

“I worked for over two years on ideas for a website,” Bourque said. “In the field, your day is spent spraying, and people need a way to get information and place orders when it is convenient for them.”

With clear pictures and information, Bourque makes sure that every product is photographed and presentable to all potential buyers. 

“I have been involved through Polyurethane Machinery Corporation (PMC) with [Bourque] for many years,” said PMC Sale and Marketing Vice President Bill Hrynkiewicz. “He has a lot of talent, a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge of the industry. “His technical knowledge and vast experience provides a useful service to anyone purchasing or needing service on PMC equipment. He serves as a technical advisor as we develop new products and always has his customer’s needs in mind.”

With years on both sides of the spray foam application and distribution coin, Bourque has utilized his experience in establishing numerous business relationships with various customers.

“I have been to a lot of trainings, and I am certified by many manufacturers,” Bourque said. “When I train new sprayers, I do things a little differently. Instead of starting with theory and classroom stuff, I put a spray gun in everyone’s hands and get them spraying.”

The reaction to the hands-on training program has been nothing but positive, Bourque said.
