Steel Buildings
Hi guys,
Got another question for ya. I have not done a steel building yet and was wondering some different ways to prep a new steel building? I appreciate your help.
thanks

Steam clean or white vinegar. Foam VERY seldom needs primer (unless you're going over aged epdm).

I have a question, I have not sprayed a metal building with OC, my supplier sells both OC & CC, they tell me not to spray OC on a metal buildings. Has anyone heard of any bad things on OC sprayed on metal building. I have sprayed CC on metal buildings before, but never OC. I don't want to risk my company if something went wrong. All the OC guys are spraying it on metal buildings.

Thank you,

Southeast Texas

I thought all you had to worry about was galvanized steel and if is is new galvanized steel.

Thanks oG. We have a good sized steel building to insulate this week and this is just one less thing to worry about.

(Closed cell foam all the way)

I have installed both closed cell and open cell to metal buildings.not had a problem with either one you just need to make sure the metal is clean.
