Square footage relation job price
Fiarly new to the business. Much of our leads come to us in the form of sq. footage. Realizing that sq ft has to translate into board feet, is there a simple easy "rule of thumb" estimate the potential sale value of the job.

We certainly dont do our actual estimates this way, but wanted to give our junior sales/mktg reps a simple method to guestimate / tell us how much a potential customer's job may produce for us.

Most jobs are 2-3 inches, we do both closed cell and open cell.

thoughts?

It is a good rule of thumb that your insulated area will be roughly 2 times the heated/cooled area. This morning, I walked a customer through a "ballpark over the phone" estimate, and told him that it would run him from 13,000 to 13,500. This afternoon, I measured his house, and the price was 13,470.00. Damn, I'm good!!!
