Spray over foam board
To cut cown on anouont of spray foam needed can you spray over foam board?

I don't know why you would want to waste your time and money installing the insulation board and then spray foam when the spray foam is a better product at about the same price with less time!

We tried it on cold storage projects and on roofing projects with some success. But, the foam board must be fastened securely with no gaps behind it. Also, EPS and XPS has a melting point of around 160 degrees F. So the first pass needs to be fairly thin (around 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick) to keep the heat on the EPS or XPS below that temperature.

You should also check with your foam supplier, They may have restrictions against using a foam board with SPF due to the potential for problems.
