Spray Foam on Tyvek?
After much deliberation I decided to use spray foam insulation in my basement. Originally I was going to use Roxul and already stapled Tyvek to the wooden 2x4 framing. Also, there is almost 3"'s of space from the concrete wall and the tyvek.

Will I be able to still use close celled spray foam on the Tyvek? Will it adhere to tyvek? Or do I have to rip the Tyvek down?

Thanks!

Remove the tyvek. You do not want to have the uninsulated, unvented space behind the tyvek. Not only that, it would be hard to seal the area at the top of the wall up into the rim joist.

I agree - remove the tyvek!! It's doing nothing for you except messing up a good insulation system! There's no need for tyvek to be on the walls let alone that it's 3" out from the walls!
Just spray it right on the walls.
