Proper application for my roof
I just built an attached garage with a bonus room above. My roof deck is the cieling in the bonus room. The roof has been installed without a vented ridge.

I know this is subjective but what would you consider to be the proper application for the 2X6 roof rafters using SPF? I'm in North Carolina so heat in the summer is more of an issue than cold in the winter, in my opinion.

The bonus room will be heated and cooled with a one ton separate type of unit with a high SEER rating. I'm not exactly sure what the thing is. There are four foot knee walls on the two non-gable sides. I'll be glad to provide any info you need.

Thank-you,

Leon

Thanks airpro!

And here's the part you'll never believe;?}

The first person I asked is very experienced and represents one of the major suppliers. He said .5lb SPF is the proper foam for this application.
