Measuring foam thickness & dry film thickness for coatings
Where can I find a place to buy a probe type slide ruler for measuring foam thickness?

Also a optical comparator to measure the dry film thickness for coatings? I am looking a type that is like a microscope eye piece that can be used in the field.

The quickest way to measure the foam thickness is to take a coathanger wire and stick it into the foam. When it bottoms out, put your thumb on that mark then measure it.

If you need to measure the dry film thickness, that we don't know of any tool available at this time.

Thanks for the input guys. Definitly have used many different things to probe and measure. Looking for something fairly precise for inpsections. Thanks again.
