Keeping Materials Warm
How do you keep your materials warm in your trailer/truck when you are leaving the shop and heading to a job in 20° weather? We have a genset in our gooseneck and ran this weekend while pulling it to a job about 20 minutes away. Drums were about 60° when we left the shop. I felt like they may drop in the trailer without heat.

Do any of you guys use band or drum heaters?

newbee,,it would take some time for 50 gallons of sumpin to loose heat,,,maybe overnite,,not goin down the road,,,,
when you get there,,,put on the band heaters and put em on full tilt boogy for about fifteen minutes while you circ some fluid,,,then make sure you back them down to "warm to touch" so you dont "boil da shiz"....
i do not like to leave band heaters unattended...
(meaning going down the road,,,or overnite)
you could run the gen goin down the road and run some compartment heaters to keep the entire rig warm...we do that here in the cornfield when it gets cold)
hope things are well for ya newbee,,,
merry bucket of bills to ya
