insulating pipes
i have been asked to fing a way to use spf to insulate 2" pipes at an industrial plant, and to spray an exhaust pipe 10' diameter 50' long made of stainless steel and temps possibly raeching 200 degrees F. what are some options?

First is the 200 degree temp going to be constant? What are they trying to accomplish by insulating it? The two inch pipe will be hard to spray and look at all decent, is it going to be exposed? You also might have long term adhesion problems on the stainless, sandblasting to get a profile would proably be a option.

Have to use High-temp foam on the 10" pipe. The others (2") you are better off wrapping with pipe insulation. Spraying is not a viable solution on a 2" diameter pipe--it's like setting a golf tee with a b a c k h o e.
