Codes
I can only find a small paragragh about attic ventilation in the michigan code book and it basically reads that a vapor retarder is required around the envolope and if one is not used between the attic or crawl then ventilation is required. I would say that according to this if closed cell is used no ventilation is required. IS there any legitiamate studies out there regarding this or pertaining to SPF. It seems that most of what I have found is anecdotal evidence which is compelling but usless when trying to argue with an inspector who appears to have is own code which he can't even show you.
