Agitating Closed cell?
I just talked to a guy who told me he mixes his hard foam for about 5 min on low prior to using.
He said he's checked it out and closed cell will settle out a little bit and gently mixing it improves the yield.
Never heard of that before.
Obviously, you run the risk of foaming up the barrel, but he does it, and he said it does improve the yield as long as you don't go crazy and turn you drum into a root beer float.
Any thoughts?

I know of only one supplier that recommends agitating their closed cell foam. If the foam is within the shelf life and has been stored properly, I don't see any benefit in agitating it. I can see some problems with reduced yield if the foam's blowing agent is released during agitation.
