adhesion to metal roof
Will the expansion and contraction of a metal roof break the bond of closed cell foam sprayed to the underside of a metal roof. The roof is coated. I suppose Kyanar. Not oil.

It should't assuming that the metal has a primer to enhance adhesion suitable for the coating that is on the meta and the builidng does not have excessive structural movement that would require an expansion joint. In most cases, SPF helps glue the metal panels together and minimizes thermal expansion and contraction. Also,SPF has some flexibility that allows it to move with the metal.
