Class 1: VF Products Guide  (1/2 day of instruction)
This class is an updated course of all the current product offerings from VersaFlex Incorporated.  This class not only covers the Polyurea products, but also includes all accessory materials including topcoat, primers, surface treatment materials, cleaners, and various other products used in our industry.  Information also includes typical use areas / applications.  This course is designed for any user of polyurea systems, engineers / architects for specification, facility owners / coating specifier and inspectors on polyurea application areas.

Class 2: Fundamentals of Polyurea  (1 day of instruction)
This class provides a general overview of the polyurea technology from the standpoint of history, chemistry, general safety, general processing characteristics and application use.  This course is not a product specific course, and applies to various polyurea technologies.  Course participants include those new to (or thinking about getting into) the polyurea industry, those with some years of experience, students, engineers / architects for specification, facility owners / coating specifier and inspectors on polyurea application areas, equipment suppliers and sales personnel.  This course is also designed as a prerequisite to Class 3: Polyurea Spray Applicator.

Class 3: Polyurea Spray Applicator  (2 ½ days of instruction)
This is the general applicator course / class.  Included in class are discussions on the general types of polyurea systems, safety measures required for use of the system, application equipment characteristics for polyurea, including proportioning units and spray guns and how to optimize.  This course also provides information on various substrate characterization, general surface preparation requirements, use of primers (when required) and option of topcoat requirements.  This also includes both general equipment and application troubleshooting, processing troubleshooting, and applied testing.  The course is a combination of classroom work, hands on testing and required spray application work.  The importance of a Job Log Profile form is also presented.

Course participants include those new to (or thinking about getting into) the polyurea industry, those with experience with polyurea installation work, spray applicators, project leaders, equipment suppliers, etc.

*A Certificate of Completion will be provided to all attendees after completion and participation in the course and passing of the 50 question exam.

Class 4: Surface Preparation for the Polyurea Applicator (1 day of instruction)
This class covers in detail the surface preparation requirements for a successful polyurea installation. While most of the class does focus on the two main substrates, concrete and steel, other typical substrates are discussed as well. Information includes those industry standards used as available through SSPC: The Society of Protective Coatings, NACE: National Association of Corrosion Engineers, ICRI: International Concrete Repair Institute and ISO for example. This includes classroom, hands-on work and possible demonstrations. This course is designed for all levels of exposure with polyurea application work. (no prerequisite)

Class 5: Project Specification (1 day of instruction)
This is a unique class in that information is presented on the importance of a Specification and how to follow. This class can also help those in preparation of a specification, and what is required for successful application work. Reference information includes that from CSI: Construction Specification Institute, Construction Specification Institute Canada and European EFNARC. Information will also be presented on the various Industry Standards and Guidelines related to polyurea coating / lining application work. Attendees are encouraged to bring with a current project specification they are working on, or maybe a past project specification followed for discussion and review. Depending on class size / schedule, a small homework assignment may be part of the class. This course is designed for all levels of exposure with polyurea application work. (no prerequisite)

Class 6: Advanced Polyurea Applicator (2 days of instruction)
This class focuses on the detail knowledge of the proportioning unit and troubleshooting, spray gun operation, optimization and troubleshooting, details on project specific application work and optimization of said work.  Pre-requisite is completion of Class 2: Fundamentals of Polyurea and Class 3: Polyurea Spray Applicator (or PDA Applicator School).  Will also consider 3+ years of personal application experience.  Combination of classroom and hands-on.

Class 7: Polyurea Inspector  (1 day of instruction)
Now that the spray work is done, what next???  This class is designed for the inspection involved in all phases of application work, specific to the polyurea technology.  All tools applicable to inspection work for polyurea will be used / shown.  This course does not Certify one as an inspector, but provides guidance to Certified Inspectors on polyurea use.  While there is no pre-requisite, it is suggested that attendees have some inspection background, and may bring own inspection tools.  Will use industry standards such as those from SSPC, NACE, ISO, ASTM, etc. A certificate of completion will be provided for each class.

The classes also include printed training materials, plus a light breakfast and lunch daily. As always, a dress code of long pants and close-toed shoes applies. Class sizes are limited to 15 participants, so don't hesitate to register.
