Iowa Spray Foam Contractor Sees Positive Results When Advertising Online
Lynn Mether from Mether Spray Foam Inc. shares his experience of transitioning from radio to online advertising.
WOODBINE, IW – December 1, 2011 – Located in eastern Iowa, Mether Spray Foam Inc. is a spray foam insulation company that opened its doors for business in 2007. With the opening of a new contracting service, owner Lynn Mether needed an effective method of advertising the services his company offers in order to generate business.
“In 2009, we started spending $10,000-$12,000 in radio advertisements,” Mether said. “As time progressed, we were not getting the return in our investment, and we opted to find an alternative way to advertise our company.”
With the slow response turnout from using radio advertisement, Mether turned to using the Internet as a tool to get his company’s name out into the spray foam market.

“Since working with SprayFoam.com, we have seen our business increase by $160,000 in the last six to eight months,” he said.
With the new wave of potential customers visiting Mether’s listing, as well as his website, Mether Spray Foam Inc. has seen an increase in larger commercial jobs, as well as an increase in residential projects.
Mether stated that he is not only earning larger commercial projects since the move to using the Internet, but there is also a plentiful string of residential projects to constantly keep his business busy while awaiting for the next large project.
“We have enough residential projects to work only an hour or two away from our home,” he said. “Before, we would often have to travel long distances for a job that only cost us a couple thousand dollars.”
Currently, Mether plans to continue working with SprayFoam.com and SprayFoamIowa.com to advertise his company’s services in western Iowa and eastern Nebraska.
“[The Internet] is a hundred times better, as a matter of fact, I am going to quit advertising on the radio,” Mether said. “I could not be happier.”
