Polyurethane Professional Development Program Returns at 2012 Technical Conference
The program offers unmatched education and training opportunities for industry professionals.
WASHINGTON, D.C.–July 31, 2012–Attendees at the 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference have an opportunity to learn from the industry's top experts during the popular Polyurethane Professional Development Program (PDP), which returns at this year's conference. Hosted by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI), the 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference will take place Sept. 24 to 26 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta. This is the ninth year CPI has offered the Polyurethane PDP at its annual technical conference.
"Participants in our Professional Development Program will broaden their technical knowledge and expertise as they learn from the best in our industry," said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. "This three-day program, which has become a staple of our technical conference, prepares attendees to tackle the latest industry issues and trends. It is a unique offering that cannot be found at any other polyurethanes conference."
The Polyurethane PDP will begin on Sunday, September 23, one day ahead of the official conference opening. During the three-day program, attendees can choose from eight seminars on a variety of topics that run concurrently with the technical conference. A detailed outline of each course is available online. This year's courses include:
- PU 101: Introduction to Polyurethane Chemistry
- PU 102: Introduction to Polyurethane Technology and Products
- PU 103: Polyurethane Markets and Applications
- PU 104A: Polyurethane Sealants, Adhesives and Binders
- PU 104B: Polyurethane Elastomers and Coatings
- PU 105: Polyurethane Processing Equipment
- PU 201: Polyurethane Raw Material Testing, Specifications and Performance: "The Myth and the Magic"
- PU 204: Physical Testing of Polyurethane Foams
Registration for the 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference is now open. Early bird registration with a $200 savings is available through Aug. 31. To participate in the PDP, participants must register for the conference. PDP tuition is a single payment of $150, which includes course materials, whether attending one or more courses. Participants must register for each seminar of interest to receive the appropriate training materials and are encouraged to secure their spots in the professional development program early.
