At Johns Manville, we’re dedicated to developing high-quality, technologically advanced building insulation products. With more than 150 years of experience, we are a leading innovator in North America. That’s why we’re proud to be the only company to manufacture both fiber glass and spray polyurethane foam insulation. Finally, you can seek expert support and source quality spray foam from one insulation manufacturer—not just a foam or fiber glass manufacturer. No matter what climate you live in or your budget, our complete line of innovative products will easily help you find the right insulation for your needs. With product advantages like air sealing and increased structural stability, JM’s spray foam insulation helps improve the energy efficiency, comfort and overall performance of a structure.
JM Corbond insulation is our line of advanced closed-cell spray foam insulation that can only be installed by professionals. The unique Lavender® color of JM Corbond III™ and JM Corbond MCS™ insulation is a visible symbol of our uncompromising quality and standards. It’s also a mark of environmental commitment and makes the product easily distinguishable from other insulation. The high-quality raw materials create insulation that applies consistently without ozone-depleting chemicals or offensive odor, and provide exceptional seasonal versatility.
JM Corbond III premium closed-cell spray polyurethane foam is an insulation that creates a thermal, air and moisture barrier, effectively separating the indoors from the outside environment. It can be installed in cold climates at temperatures as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit. JM Corbond III SPF has one of the highest yields of any closed-cell spray foam insulation and a lift thickness of three inches per pass. It offers an R-value of R-19 at a thickness of 3 inches and R-38 at 6 inches, providing a home with superior thermal performance, advanced air sealing and structural strength.
JM Corbond Multi-Climate Solution (MCS) closed-cell spray polyurethane foam acts as a barrier, keeping the indoors from the outside climate. The energy-efficient spray foam insulation offers superior thermal performance, air and moisture control in a wide range of climate conditions. JM Corbond MCS SPF offers a two-inch lift thickness per pass and can be applied in temperatures as low as 45 degrees Fahrenheit. This closed-cell spray foam provides an R-11 when installed at a thickness of 2 inches and R-38 when installed at 6 inches. The insulation adheres and solidifies to the substrate, making a home structurally stronger and more storm-resistant.
Our open-cell spray foam insulation is an affordable alternative to JM Corbond insulation and is ideal for southern climate zones. JM ocSPF is low-density, nonstructural insulation that offers a high yield and a versatile range of R-values. It achieves an R-3.8 when installed at a thickness of 1 inch, R-13 at 3.5 inches and R-19 at 5.5 inches. JM ocSPF can be applied at a maximum lift thickness of 6 inches per pass and can be installed when temperatures are at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The insulation is considered air-impermeable at a minimum thickness of 3.5 inches, offering the good air sealing that’s critical to an energy-efficient home. JM ocSPF also provides good sound control when installed in interior walls, reducing room–to–room sound transmission and increasing the comfort of a home.
JM’s complete line of spray foam insulation offers multiple advantages to architects, builders and homeowners. It can easily be spray-applied into any shaped cavity or areas that are difficult for traditional forms of insulation to be effective. This innovative efficiency allows for flexibility in design by maximizing the living area of a home. And since our spray foam insulation won’t shrink or settle, it offers superior performance and innovative advantages for the life of a home.
